Ecolution is a sailing yacht, which will sail year round and world wide, summer and winter, throughout the world, operated by her two owners. A professional crew is not needed. Living on Ecolution for extended periods is intended so she will be built to feel warm and comfortable, like a home.
It is the goal of the design of Ecolution that she will be autonomous, safe and comfortable as much as possible and easy to handle. She will be energy and resource efficient without sacrificing quality and comfort. This brings benefits, not only economic but most of all will she be less dependent on harbours for fuel and water.
The project Ecolution will awaken the interest and acceptance of the necessity of a sustainable future and stimulates the thought that we need to change our perspective of conventional use of energy in generations to come. It’s an educational example and demonstration of interest and acceptance of sustainable development on earth.
